Simply stated, CoffeeMuggs is a collection of satirical and even surrealistic cartoons, created, written and drawn by Tony Glisson and here presented in book form. The cartoons are of coffee cups with human like faces and other anthropomorphic characteristics such as thought, speech and emotion. These CoffeeMuggs characters look at life and comment thereon from the point of view of coffee cups, but perhaps just as often, they see things in much the same way as humans would see them; real people can therefore relate to life's scenarios of these containers of "life's" elixir.
Following are a few of dozens of foibles which the residents of Bean Town and/or Coffee County* may experience.
Consider, if you will, a conical shaped coffee cup with a very narrow and pointed bottom (unable to stand as can normal coffee cups) who finds his calling in life to be in the world of circus entertainment; he is a tightrope walker, what else? Or a cup being told by his physician that he is to avoid caffeine and/or PASTRY at all costs; BUMMER! Then think of yourself as a cup of Cappuccino wearing a real cap {CAP-puccino} or a cup of DECAF unable to stay awake. Or be arrested for, yes, BLOWING OFF TOO MUCH STEAM...or facing a robber threatening to fill you full of CAFFEINE!
As expected, CoffeeMuggs is comical; we might even say, hilarious. But humor almost always contains a grain or two of truth, as does fiction and myth. Therefore in these pages we find a lot of philosophy, some psychology, and even a dose of theology and other theories of life. So obtain your copy, read and enjoy, and do not take life too seriously, at least not at this level.
Oh, by the way, if you like coffee, you WILL LOVE CoffeeMuggs.

Remember the days in a local diner or coffee shop before work. Always accompanied w/ donut, danish or kreuller and good conversation.
